| There are many
options available to help cure the default on your home loan. The
following are some of the opportunities available to our clients.
-
Add past due payments to the end of their loan, and
begin making payments lower than their original payment the very next
month.
-
Have past due payments forgiven and refinance the
remaining balance at a lower interest rate.
-
Have HUD agree to interest-free second mortgages
covering the past due payments, payable only when the first is paid off.
-
Have the VA repurchase the loan from their lender,
allowing the homeowner to make all future payments directly to the VA.
-
Arrange for long-term repayment plans allowing the
homeowner manageable monthly payments without raising their principal
balance or their interest rate.
-
Facilitate short-sales of properties (selling the
property for less than what is owed) or refinance the house with another
lender.
-
Arrange for second mortgages allowing the homeowner
to catch up on past-due first mortgage payments and other bills, and
helping the homeowner to get "back on track" financially.
Because our program is offered by an experienced
attorney, many of our clients have been able to reorganize all their debt
(often having much of their unsecured debt discharged), IRS and other wage
garnishments stopped, child support or vehicle payments lowered, and tax
problems made manageable.
